Manager on site
Your permit says the technically competent manager has to be at site for part
of its opening hours, and that you write down when they arrive and leave every day.
Tap two buttons and it's done. If the Agency ask, it's all here.

OverdueAnything overdue is at the top. You are the named
competent person for these sites — this is what a regulator would ask you about.
Usual details for
Set once. Every load at this site starts from
these, and you can still change any of them on the day.
Usual carrier
Usual waste
Landspreading is commonly R10 — check what's on your own transfer notes
rather than assuming.
How this site works
This decides which screen you get. Changing it doesn't touch
anything you've already recorded.
Site manager (TCM)
Needed for the attendance log, and the same details
go on your quarterly waste return.
Your permit sets this from a points total — commonly 5%, 10% or 20% of
opening hours. Copy the figure off the permit rather than guessing at it.
Mobile plant
Required by the regulations only where the permit says the Agency must
approve each deployment. If yours doesn't, leave it blank.
Day sheet
For sites where nobody is there when the waste
arrives. Work down the carrier's list — one line per load, and the only things you
type are the time it came in and the weight.
Reference numbers — set automatically
Defra want a reference on every load. Yours are
numbered from the date, e.g. 230826-01, 230826-02. Only change this if you use your own
numbering.

Into Defra's spreadsheet
- Press Build Defra spreadsheet.
- Upload the file to the report receipt of waste service.
- Come back and press Mark as submitted.
This fills Defra's own template — their formatting and validation untouched.

Welcome
Let's set your site up. It takes a minute, and you only do it once — after that you just log loads.
You'll need your permit number to hand. It's on your
environmental permit, and looks something like
